D’Huy Engineering, Inc. (DEI) specializes in the management of the design and construction of public projects, specifically public education projects. A large portion of the firm’s annual revenue for the past ten years has resulted from public education clients. We have established a rock solid reputation by providing successful leadership along with practical, innovative and economical solutions for public school projects (K-12) and colleges in Pennsylvania.

DEI provides facilities engineering, complete structural design, and full service project and construction management services for the planning, design, bidding and construction phase of a project. Our construction management personnel specialize in cost estimating, value engineering, constructability reviews, and construction oversight, the assembly of construction contract documents and bidding strategies, all aimed at minimizing the Owner’s risk while maximizing flexibility and value. Clients rely on DEI’s expertise to ensure that their school project bidding documents are clear and concise, and work responsibilities are correctly assigned.

We are the Facilities Engineer for a number of school districts, and are responsible for assisting with the maintenance and operations of school facilities. DEI provides annual retainer services for several Pennsylvania school districts along with completing dozens of summer projects for multiple school districts. We also develop, manage and annually update comprehensive Capital Improvement Plans for many school districts. 

DEI has completed several LEED certified school projects with the majority of our projects receiving the Energy Star label. Even on projects that are not LEED certified, we strive to incorporate energy efficient systems, local materials and cost effective means of construction. DEI has planned and implemented a number of energy related projects including solar parking lot canopies, solar roof systems, and ground mount solar systems on many schools, all of which received state grants for these projects. We have been instrumental in obtaining $2M high performance school grants for districts.

DEI’s philosophy is that in order for a project to be successful, in addition to being completed on time and on budget, it must meet the Owner’s parameters, criteria and goals. This strong Owner advocate approach has resulted in a long history of repeat clients.

D’Huy Engineering, Inc. (DEI) has been providing design, facilities and resident project engineering, and project/ construction management services for Easton Area School District for over twenty years.

D’Huy Engineering, Inc. (DEI) provided project management and pre-construction services to the Northampton Community College during the design phase and construction phase of their new campus in Monroe County.

D’Huy provided planning and project management services to the Community College during the design and construction of a new campus Student Recreation Center.

D’Huy Engineering, Inc. has been the School District’s Resident Project Engineer for over ten years and has overseen numerous construction and renovation projects for the District.

DEI provided project management services for the Council Rock School District’s Holland Elementary School additions and renovations project.

D’Huy assisted the Owner in planning and the selection of the design team for this first referendum school project in Pennsylvania.

D’Huy has been the Engineer of Record for the School District since 1991 assisting the District with all of the facility needs.

D’Huy Engineering, Inc. provided project management services for the Council Rock School District’s Goodnoe Elementary School additions and renovations project.

D’Huy has been the Engineer of Record for the Salisbury Township School District since 2003.
